Hashtag Phresh, Mooloolaba

Hashtag Phresh (#Phresh) have been running such a successful pre-opening social marketing campaign on instagram, that we had to go and see what the fuss was about.

Besides, how could I resist their insta bio:

That it certainly isn’t. The relatively small (so far) lunch menu has a range of acai and chia bowls (seriously, if there aren’t more acai bowls per head of population in Mooloolaba than anywhere else in the world I’ll be very surprised), some brekky faves, some sweet things, some bagels, and some bruschetta style sandwiches. I could be more descriptive, but I was more interested in eating than memorising the menu. If I’m being super picky, I’d say that I’d like to see some salad bowl options available – at least at lunch – but I daresay that will come.

It’s bright, fresh (see what I did there?), mostly healthy, mostly whole foods, and mostly local. And the staff are all super friendly. What’s not to like? As for opening week kinks? Didn’t see a one.

What we ate:

The chicken bagel that comes with dipping sauces of pesto and that fabulous chilli coco mayonnaise, and

The chicken bruschetta style sandwich with avo, salad, and crunch.

The verdict:

A great spot for breakfast or lunch on the beach. Service is quick and friendly, and the food satisfyingly good. We’ll definitely be back. Even if it’s just to try the Zebra coconut ice cream.
